2007

2007 was a very busy year for the Wilno Heritage Society with most of our energies directed to restoring the Kashub Canadian farmhouse. CLICK HERE for details on the Farmhouse Project.

Events Past for 2007:

Heritage Afternoon at the Movies, February 25, 2007 was held at St. Hedwig's Church Hall in Barry's Bay.

Opeongo Heritage Cup Match, Paul Yakabuskie Arena, Barry's Bay, March 30, 31 and April 1, 2007 and the Polish teams took the Opeongo Cup trophy.

Kashub Day, May 5, 2007, Wilno Heritage Park, Wilno. 

11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Music, dancing and fun for all.

Special theme for the festival of 2007 is a Celebration of Canada's Polish Kashub Food  with the release of The Canadian Kashub Cookbook and a display of dishes and kitchen items as well as old photographs pertaining to cooking and eating.
